Outlook Express 5 & 6

SMTP Auth and SSL

Tri Way Net email may also be configured for SMTP Authentication and SSL encryption for outgoing email. Please note that SMTP Auth and SSL are optional and are not required to use Tri Way Net email.

  • While there are a number of email programs in use, Outlook Express is the most commonly used email and news software. To use this product with Tri Way Net, select the information you need from the list below.

    Help for Outlook Express is available on or offline by opening Outlook Express and selecting Help on the menu. As a Microsoft product, information and support is available online Microsoft.com.     Backup and Restore

    If you need to backup your Outlook Express data, a backup and restore wizard is available on this site. Other backup utilities are available, including Outlook Express: OE Backup andOutlook Express Backup.

    Please note that Tri Way Net does not support the backup software and cannot be responsible for any problems that might occur as a result of installation or use of the backup and restore wizard(s).

    Help us help you! If you contact Tri Way Net support for assistance please write down any error messages you get when trying to connect to the Internet. Include the name and version of your operating system and the exact text of all error messages. If this information is included in an online case submission or provided to a support representative, it will greatly speed up the troubleshooting process.

    Please be aware that some troubleshooting may require uninstallation and reinstallation of operating system files. To ensure that this type of troubleshooting can be accomplished if required, please be sure that you have to have original Operating System CD or Operating system source files on disk on hand.
