Outlook Express 4 - Mail

	SMTP Auth and SSL
	Tri Way Net email may also be configured for SMTP Authentication and SSL encryption for outgoing email. Please note that SMTP Auth and SSL are optional and are not required to use Tri Way Net email. For further information and setup instructions, see the links below. NOTE: Please configure SMTP Auth or SSL after first configuring your email program for your Tri Way Net email. Open Outlook Express, click the Tools menu and choose Accounts. Click the Add button and choose Mail.

Enter your name in the Display name field. Click Next.

Enter your email address. Click Next.

Choose POP3 in the first box. Enter your Tri Way Net mail servers in the Incoming and Outgoing mail server boxes. Click Here for the list of Tri Way Net Mail Servers. Click Next.

Enter your email username or Tri Way Net email address in the format of username@ Tri Way Net.net and password into the POP account name and Password fields in lowercase letters.. DO NOT click Log on using Secure Password Authentication. Click Next.

Next it will ask for a Friendly Name for this account. It should already show the mail server name. Click Next.

Choose your Connection Type:

• DSL and Cable users should choose Connect using my Local Area Network (LAN) and click Next.
• Dialup users should choose Connect using my phone lineand click Next. On the following screen, Select your Modem from the list and click Next. Choose your Tri Way Net dialup connection and click Next

Click Finish. Close the Internet Accounts window to return to Outlook Express.
